SaskOilseeds works alongside Saskatchewan Agriculture & Discovery Seed Labs to provide free canola disease testing for farmers across the province. Plant stems are tested for Verticillium Stripe and Blackleg (plus identifying the race of Blackleg). Soil samples are tested for Clubroot.
This directory provides links to nutritional research published in peer-reviewed scientific journals since canola was developed over several decades ago. All are human studies, with the exception of those related to cancer conditions. For these conditions, cell culture and animal studies were included because human cancer study data is limited to date.
The people of Neolithic times depended on numerous plants and animals for their continued survival. Knowledge of these resources had come to them through observation, experimentation and from information provided to them by their ancestors.
