What should be the correct seeding depth for flax?

Objective

To demonstrate and generate regional data on the effect of seeding depth on agronomic performance and traits for Flax.

Project Description

As flax cultivation continues to gain popularity among farming communities, there is an increasing need for high-quality demonstrations that clearly illustrate appropriate seed rates and optimal seeding depths for this crop. At present, seedling mortality ranges from 40% to 60%, making it difficult for growers to determine the correct seeding rate needed to achieve a uniform and productive stand. This demonstration is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how varying seed rates influence yield and other agronomic parameters. In addition, establishing the proper seeding depth remains a significant challenge for this small-seeded crop. Therefore, the demonstration has been structured to enable an easy visual comparison of different seeding depths and seed rates, along with their effects on other relevant agronomic factors.
